A breakdown of the total number of staff employed and paid by Parliament to each MPs’ office
Response
I can confirm that IPSA holds the information that falls within the description specified in your request. Please find a list containing the number of staff members employed by each MP in Annex A below. Please note that the total numbers provided to you indicate the headcount only, and may include a combination of full-time, part-time, paid interns and paid casual employees. The number of staff members employed by each MP are not therefore comparable.
Annex A – Number of staff employed by each MP
Please note these figures represent headcounts only. Each figure includes full-time, part-time, paid interns and paid casual employees.
Casual employees are defined as members of staff on a zero hour contract, who are called upon by an MP as and when required. These individuals are included in the figures below.
Volunteer interns, i.e. those interns who are unpaid and receive reimbursement for travel and subsistence expenses only, are not included in the figures below.
